Dina D’Argo creates sensitive, quietly powerful images that take liberties with reality. Her acrylic and mixed-media paintings resonate with those who find healing and inspiration in nature, and reflect a profound spiritual connection to Mother Earth. The dreamlike images invite the mind to roam freely to places that feel wild and mysterious, yet deeply personal. A visionary artist, D’Argo is primarily self-taught with a design background, and works loosely and intuitively. Her paintings tell a complex, emotional story, rich with symbolism and metaphor. Themes touch on environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, nature-based spiritual traditions, the subconscious and enlightenment, and our relationship with the other beings with whom we share this planet. She has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States, and her works are held in private collections worldwide. She is represented by Third & Wall Art Group, and currently works from a studio at her home in rural New Mexico. A devoted animal advocate, when not in the studio, Dina spends her time surrounded by her husband and their many four-legged family members, enjoying the outdoors, reading, doing yoga, meditating, and gazing endlessly at the sky.
