I am an impressionist artist with a background in graphic design. I live in the Algarve and teach oil painting to retired ex-pats either in my studio or on location around Europe. I take my paints with me when I travel and can either spend hours searching for the right inspiration or am struck dumb with an unexpected and sudden intense need to paint what's in front of me. I 'retired' to the Algarve in 2006 after running my own graphic design company in the UK, whereupon I returned to my original love of painting.
