ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The man I'm engaged to surprised me with sunflowers which are my favourite. It made me feel an exhilarating rush, a side affect of happy hormones, no doubt. I felt thrilled and inspired. The original was sold at a fair to a lively woman who wanted to "hang it above the stairs" as I heard her tell her mother. I've sold plenty of prints since then. The pink flowers were from photographs I took during spring time. they were beautiful and feminine. I wanted to incorporate them alongside the sunflowers as a way to represent feminine love. Which in my mind has always been an exquisite type of love.
