About The Artwork
A one day oil painting practice of an alley way in Colorado. I painted on a type of art board. It reminds me of a white board that holds oil paint well, giving this painting a thick texture. The subject is the alley I walk from as I go to my weekly violin lesson and typically makes me feel content. I chose to paint a low shot because I wanted to practice perspective work, the mood this piece portrays is calm, joyful.
