With a professional background in design, illustration, animation and painting, I use color as a means to express the beauty and inspiration of the natural world. My images are often loose, splashy and abstracted from nature. My painting education includes a B.A. in Fine Art from Sonoma State University as well as classes with painters Morris Davidson, Barbara Nechis, Robert Burridge and Wolf Kahn. I have been in gallery exhibits in New York City, San Francisco, Santa Fe and Sarasota, Florida and was chosen as an artist-in-residence at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma, California. A watercolor is in the collection of Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa, CA. Other work is in the permanent collection of the Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsy in Sarasota, Florida. My art has been published as prints, in calendars, greeting cards, film and more and includes backgrounds for a Sesame Street television number series.
