TABASCO Print

This artwork is a homage or parody of Andy Warhol´s Soup Can, but as I live in the Mexico-US Border, I wanted a product that would represent both sides of the border as a cultural icon as well as consumer product. The Tabasco Sauce was a great find, because not only had I consumed it for a long time, it represents all the Mexican migrants living in the US which eat this sauce, which is an American Sauce made in Mexican style, when they have no Mexican sauce at hand. It is an icon of cultural replacement, a tasty fabrication of cultural heritage which diminishes cultural nostalgia even if for a little while, as we eat a spicy Mexican American hybrid meal. It can be found in almost any kitchen and restaurant on both sides of the border, as well as bars for it makes for a nice spicy drink as well. =D Note: If shipping destiny is far from origin (Mexico) It can be unmounted and sent rolled up in a tube for better shipping price.
