Aswathy Aravindakshan is an artist from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. For her, painting is touch made visible. She often uses her fingers, letting the skin meet the canvas, allowing colours to move with instinct, breath, and silence. Her art has been showcased at the Amuseum Art Gallery, Thiruvananthapuram (2023), David Hall, Fort Kochi (2023), and in her solo exhibition, Alchemy, at the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Hall (2024). In 2025, she returned to the same space with Rajaswala, an exhibition on menopause painted largely with her fingers, an exploration of rawness, resilience, and the transformative thresholds of womanhood. She is also a poet and storyteller. Her works "Absences – Of Intimacy and Solitude" (2020), "Panjimittayi" (2023), and "Thala" (2024) move between languages, just as her art moves between colour and silence. Whether in word or image, she searches for spaces where intimacy and solitude meet, and where the viewer may encounter their own reflection.
