ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Aleksandr Dubrovskyy is an artist who creates exquisite landscape oil paintings that showcase the beauty of nature and capture on canvas intangible emotional states. The talented author conveys the deep connectivity he feels to the countryside and pastoral lifestyle; the viewers are immersed in his emotional reality. Therefore his paintings appear both familiar and imaginary; the landscapes tell a story of accumulated memories and reveries, making them lyrical in content. This work of art offers Dubrovskyy’s poetic impression of the rays of the sun near the ancient hills. The colors are vibrant and intense, yet delicate, surreal, and ethereal. The lines of color give an almost lacy depiction of spring trees, providing a richer and more subtle effect. Dubrovskyy brilliantly encapsulates the transition and moods of the changing hours, conveying the gentle caress of the day and the sunny rays.
