ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My intentions and purpose are irrelevant; finished works spark imaginations through diverse interpretations. Inspired by the end of an era...the end of Graffiti and as we've known it. Renaissance and Street Art has grown over the last 30 or 40 years, influencing world wide culture more than anything else prior. With that said, it's reached a pinnacle of perfection through fine tuning and mundane mediocrity. The canvas was hand made using high quality materials and has the hanging hardware attached to the back.

After burning out in the abyss of a 9-5 (just-over-broke) lifestyle, he soon came to the realization that the only way out of the trappings of modern existence in which we all have succumbed to at some points in our lives, was to become clear as to what he wanted to make of his "Do or Die" situation....and in his case, both making art and dropping dead were really one in the same. To elaborate, dropping dead as in, death of his OLD SELF ...or a shedding of skin, in the wake of a REBIRTH. In definition, that is BLK/MTL . Carmine made a huge impact as co-founder of PRIMERDOME- art collective, he quickly became immersed in the creative process. He had a machine like output of productivity, a sense of bravery and integrity which instantly gave him notoriety among peers as a live artist at various warehouse afterparties and overall in the local underground music circuit. With heavy ties into the hip-hop, punk, and EDM scenes,
