ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is framed in an American black wooden box and with a mauve border which gives the impression that the light is flowing from the painting to the outside! The frame is hand painted, and the picture is ready to hang. To describe this painting, I will use the words of my friend Benoît QUINQUIS, comics designer, history teacher, Philosophy Doctor, press correspondant, whom I really liked: "The "SWAN LAKE" almost makes us feel the drops of water projected by the bird flapping its wings, far from the topical exhilarations of serenity that one would expect to see under such a title". At first glance, the picture seems to be gray in color, but if you look closely, you see many other shades of pastel tones, soft pinks, purples, azure, etc. This technique was developed by me for an interior design project where the walls were faced with natural gray stone and the customer needs to decorate the walls with paintings in gray tones. It is clear that gray on gray is not good, so I decided to use many shades of oil paint overlaying layer by layer so that the overall picture appears gray, but accommodates other different tones. This is how this technique was born.
