Heather creates social commentaries that speak of environmental issues. Her paintings and mixed-media sculptures focus on ecological narratives. She is interested in the story, mythology, and folklore that inter-twines nature and science with society. Her own sense of narrative has evolved from these ideals, metaphorically utilizing images of the nature and the body to represent emotional and social conditions. Heather Jones is an Associate Professor teaching Fine Arts at Genesee Community College. She is the co-owner of Good Nature Press offering book packaging, original writing, and illustrations, for educational publishing companies. Heather owns her own studio; Glassfeather Studio offers community art workshops and commissions upon request. The studio is located in a renovated church located in the small town of Conesus.
