Contact us.Tamara Jare is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She draws inspiration from the region’s rich cultural landscape while engaging with a global audience.
Jare’s artistic foundation began under the guidance of her mother, a professional artist, from a young age. She later pursued studies in medicine at Ljubljana University, bringing a unique analytical perspective to her creative practice, blending scientific curiosity with emotional expression.
Primarily working with oil on canvas, Jare employs vibrant palettes and textured brushwork to create evocative figurative paintings. Her mastery of oil allows her to explore layered compositions, while occasional still life works expand her visual narrative.
Jare’s work delves into the psychology of her sitters, using bold yellows, reds, and blues to capture identity, resilience, and introspection. Rooted in art historical and literary influences, her paintings reflect Central European motifs and cosmopolitan perspectives. Her international exhibitions in the United States, Italy, and Slovenia, alongside features in Saatchi Art’s “Best of” collections (2021-2024), Guggenheim, Christie’s, and Sotheby’s, underscore her global impact. Additionally, her participation in projects like #GuggenheimTogether, #viaggidicamera, #createwithchristies, #recycle, and #sudaysketch highlights her commitment to social and environmental themes, aiming to inspire connection through meaningful, colorful artworks.
