Taxus Baccata, also known as red yew is a gorgeous lush species of evergreen tree widespread in Europe and at the same time is endangered and listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. The red yew is a long-lived, hardy, interesting conifer, especially the unique combination of soft, flat needles and red "berries" (arils), which distinguishes the red yew from most conifers, which usually produce cones. Most parts of the red yew are poisonous, a significant difference from many other conifers, whose cones or seeds can often be safely consumed by wildlife or even humans. We should remember the threat of extinction of this beautiful plant and think about saving ecosystems. Unframed size: 18x13 cm Framed size: 32,5x23,5 cm This is an original, hand-painted work. It is made on high-quality acid-free age resistant paper – 100 % cotton designed specifically for watercolor painting with a density of 300 grams per square meter (140 lb). Also, I use only professional watercolor paints with the highest index of lightfastness. NOTE: The images of work in the home interior are computer-generated, might not be to scale, and serve for illustration purposes only. The artwork will be very carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap to protect and ensure the painting will reach you safely. Delivering by international courier service. If you have any further questions about the painting, please let me know. I’ll be happy to answer all of them.

I am a Ukrainian botanical artist from Kyiv, living in the Czech Republic now. Member of the Association of Botanical Artists ABA. The main direction of my creative work is botanical watercolor painting. I also use acrylics and study various new techniques and materials. My special hobby since childhood is decorative Petrykivka painting, I decorate various objects, dishes, clothes, and canvas as commissions. The main motifs of my works are flowers and plants. Nature is the source of inspiration for me, I consider it incredibly perfect and fascinating, it gives strength for life, development, and creativity. Nature is the best artist and creator in the world, and I have the honor to represent the beauty that nature created in my paintings through my perception and vision. A feature of the watercolor technique I work with is the step-by-step multi-layer application of paint and significant detailing to convey color faithfully and create the most realistic image. In my paintings, I want to show people the beauty of the nature around us, its incredible colors, details, and forms. Perhaps, in the rapid rhythm of everyday life and constant experiences, people overlook the wonderful elements and outlines of flowers, stamens, petals, and leaves. Maybe I will be able to surprise someone and create paintings in which people will see such beauty that they would not encounter in real life.
