ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Busy patterns of flowers and broken teacups is a favorite subject for me. The color explosion and contrast in shapes and textures is lush and full of rhythm. This is a small but mighty painting with natural wood sides, it can be placed in your home as is, or would look great in a frame. I used to find small, hidden places under trees and bushes as a child and spend time by myself in nature. This idea of hidden sanctuaries and intimate settings is still infused in my work. I love busy and lush still life like this as it feels tight and nurturing, a place I can crawl inside and explore.
