Temple Ruins at Khajuraho Print

India, being a land of temples, has cities that are famous exclusively for their ancient temples. One of them is Khajuraho. It is world famous for her exquisitely carved Hindu & Jain temples. However, what surprised me was the fact that there were huge number of temples in various states of dilapidation. This Painting is an attempt to draw attention towards them. Even in disrepair, they show signs of former glory. Maybe, if enough attention is drawn, a movement to restore such temples can be initiated. This Painting is intended to be framed & used as interior decorative element adorning walls of guest or living rooms. It can serve as an ice breaker by encouraging a discussion on India, her temples & reasons for some of them to be ignored. The icing on the cake shall be such discussion resulting in a visit to India to visit her glorious temples.
