I saw this man at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He was so concentrated in this painting that It did catch my attention. I want to explored the subject with simplicity. I depicted the man looking at the painting and I avoided all distracting details.

Since 1989, my home has been Regina, SK. Canada. Living here has allow me to travel abroad. Learning about other cultures has enriched my passion for painting. The subject of my paintings are the special and significant moments of those trips. My art has become a pictorial diary. The oil medium I used has given me the flexibility to explored the subject in a variety of ways. I am not worry about how each painting looks like or how can I possible fit it into a body of work. I am more interested in the exploration of the oil medium as a paint and all its possibilities. I focus on and what I can get from it. I am not creating paintings I am painting and re-painting. After painting and exhibiting for more than 30 years I have a collection of paintings and I realized I have a diverse "bodies of work". Painting is becoming a way of life, I do not stereotype myself in one specific subject matter, I find this confined and limited. I constantly looking for change. Evolving and re-inventing has been a quest for years. I am not worry about how my strokes looks like, I am more worry about what the subject leads me into it.
