ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My painting pays homage to the Nymphaeum by William Adolphe-Bouguereau, and addresses the movement of sexuality through organic shapes, and body parts. One can imagine from their own perspective what is the sensual dance of play in my painting. Thus, the painting becomes one's own personal gratification of their senses. I want the viewer to gain awareness of emotion and the energy heighted in my art.

I strive to paint from my gut a surge of body parts that are both on the fringes of figural and unknowing. At a gaze one can feel as if peeking into a secret message of a sexual ritual. Within the erotic body parts (dominated by females,) I paint for the mystery of lines, color, shapes to convey a climax of thought. The grotesque prevails despite the sensual nature of my paintings, there is the expressive, unsettling, and visceral confirmation that the subject matter of a given work is typically intended to unsettle the viewer while making it their own visual.
