The Great Wave off Kanagawa revisited. In my appopriation, the japanese boats are pirogues and inside you could seen some Orange Life Jackets in disorder, an evocation of the contemporary refugees... The sky is dark, it's a storm and the big wave is cruel, a big jaw. In occident we read from the left to the right, in Japan this the inverse. In occident this wave by Hokusai will be transform in symbol of surf, we read the wave behind the boats. But it was a Tsunami, in front of. It's an homage to the courage of this migrants against a lot of form of cruelties.
