ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I am Junwon Lee who draws a monster named providence with the theme of Totem Monster Totem Monster Series It gives birth to a monster named providence by mingling the perception of life's limitedness, fear and bravery, overcoming and adaptation. And the energy that monster possesses gets back to us to face again with the primitive energy. We have worshiped them for many years. I draw the monster and its scenery in that sense. I work on my pieces by looking at my monster and by getting on their backs to face larger providence and gaze, to resist, or sometimes to accommodate myself, and imagine myself finally being freed. I believe the engraved energy in my drawings exists for real.
