VIEW IN MY ROOM
This painting takes a view down Lexington Avenue in New York City with the famous Chrysler Building standing tall amidst the other skyscrapers and turns it into a surrealistic vision where a canopy of trees has overtaken the street and stretches far off into the distance. The rigidity of the buildings, combined with the looseness of the trees creates an interesting juxtaposition. The sky is somewhat turbulent yet the horizon shows a glimmer of brightness. It's New York City like you've never seen it before. Definitely a strange painting for these strange times!

I am a modern day, self-taught surrealist. I paint ideas. My goal is to depict the impossible or at least, the highly improbable. When people view my paintings, it's readily apparent what is going on, just not always easily understandable as to why. My paintings will make you think and hopefully, bring a smile to your face.
