About The Artwork

No pain, no gain they say. This life is full of drama and twist, the sweetest success often comes with the hardest struggle, pain, challenges. Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness, know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again.” – Anonymous

ARTIST STATEMENT ....'I paint what I see' ....by arranging colours side by side to form a unified whole; to enjoy the obvious that may be consciously hidden or otherwise. As perceived, light is the key that traverse in my paintings, unveiling the beauty of nature and its components in their various values. The world as represented by our environment is beautiful enough to be a unique subject matter. BIO. Oyedele Abiodun Oyewumi was born in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, Nigeria in 1991. In close proximity to nature and his love for outdoor features further enhances his artistic talent. A science student before he was admitted to study Fine and Applied Arts at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso; thus, reignited his keen interest in Art. Abiodun has always been fascinated by the happenings of his environment. Hence, represented through drawings and paintings from his teenage years. After completing his degree, he taught Fine Art at Gomal Baptist College for a year. His focus was to help the young ones foster the same enthusiasm he has for Art. He has been honing his painting talent via the usage of many mediums, majorly oil for several years. Abiodun's paintings reflect our beautiful world as represented by our environment and diverse culture. His artwork depicts happenings in the society, giving vivid attention to the details through his usage of vibrant but cool therapeutic schemes. He is also pursuing a Master's Degree in painting( M.Tech.) at his alma mater, LAUTECH.
