ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Fire Within is an acrylic and Parisian plaster abstract on canvas. As someone who struggles with PTSD, anxiety, and depression, there are many days, sometimes months, I feel like I’m in a brain fog. I struggled through this piece over two months- it wasn’t quite going anywhere, and I felt stuck. A bit of a metaphor for the past two months, but last week I had a breakthrough and found some direction and clarity in life. That translated to this piece. I had a clear vision of where it was going and finished it. There is so much life and passion within me; I will continue to fight with all I have!
