I LOVE Halloween! I LOVE all things Halloween, and Autumn. Absolutely my favorite time of the year! ( as you can see with my other art =p). I was trying to figure out what the subject was when I was looking at this blank canvas... and I was watching some cheesy horror movies on cable. An image popped up on the TV and I was like "YES"... it was only on for a moment, but I had the inspiration I needed =) This is one of my favorites because I was still 'new' to the whole process of starting a piece and actually finishing with the project actually becoming what you envisioned. I love that art is just art. No rules; no lines; no 'MUSTS'. My only regret is that I didn't invest in a larger canvas to do it on.

About me? I am a single mother, trying to do the best I can. I have birthed four beautiful boys, 3 are living. Since my oldest committed suicide I have been trying to acclimate to life again. It's the same; but it isn't.... I have struggled my entire life to fit into boxes with impossible standards. I have had no formal art education; maybe someday. For now I am just painting what I know, and picking up along the way. Painting to me is an outlet, not a means for survival. While I dance across the line of life and spirituality, I embrace every moment. God is the only reason I have come as far in life as I have; I am the reason I have not gone as far as I could... I am thankful for every view I get, every 'pat on the back' I receive, every critique. I feel that art is ever moving, ever breathing, ever changing. Evolving as the times change.
