Bio Olga Bolgar is an artist based in Bellevue, Washington, USA. She was born in Veliky Novgorod, near St. Petersburg, Russia. in 1999, she received her BFA from Yaroslavl Art College. From 1999 to 2001, Olga worked in an icon-painting workshop, where she mastered traditional tempera techniques and engaged with the discipline, symbolism, and spiritual depth of classical iconography. In 2003, she moved to the United States. Her artistic path continued through Pennsylvania and Maryland before she settled in the Seattle area. She now lives in Bellevue, Washington, and works as a full-time artist. For Olga Bolgar, art is a language for speaking about life itself. Her work explores a deep human need for warmth, soul, and quiet attention in a fast-moving world marked by exhaustion and constant acceleration. Olga Bolgar exhibits in Washington State, USA, and her paintings are currently represented by Women Painters of Washington (WPW) in Seattle.
