Yasha Knecht was born in 1961 in Lausanne, Switzerland, from an early age he was attracted by the graphics. In 1975, he moved to Paris, he studied art in various schools in Paris, Lausanne and San Francisco. In 1989 he make is "Hallia" to Israel and works in computer graphics and multimedia. The artist has always been torn between his native homeland, Switzerland and its cultural homeland, Paris. This dilemma is also reflected in its quest for a place in art schools, torn between the Decorative Arts and Fine Arts, among computer art and abstract painting. In brief between the rigors of the computers face the unbridled creativity of abstract art. In Israel this dilemma has disappeared, nor Switzerland nor Paris, from the synthesis of these opposites were born these Hebrew letters. The artist uses the computer for the conceptualization of the pictorial design and realizes the oil paint on canvas. About the subject of the Hebrew letters this research is in quest of a macrocosm through the microcosm, because the letter are the smallest element which God used to create the world. At a technical level the artist uses as raw materials fractals images and electronic microscopy. Fractals are a mathematical process which, inter alia, to "zoom" (see) any more and more small an image. The microscopic imaging turn is based on the same principle of expansion of the infinitely small. The artist tries to fit into a Jewish art of "Gueoula" in which the Jewish soul back to his land, its roots speak joyfully, sometimes violently but always positively. The colors are hammers that strike the strings on sensitive soul, and this explosion of colorful feelings, revealing a rich symphony of emotions, hymn to the resurrection of Israel on their land.
