The Journey Print

My name is Luhanri Bekker. I am a wife to my loving husband and a mother to our two beautiful girls. The four of us live in a small town in the Western Cape, South Africa. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, I was exclusively signed with a gallery, where I mainly created large oil portraits for numerous years. When the gallery world took a knock during the global pandemic, I took the plunge into exploring different mediums and subject matters. In 2021 I landed my first solo exhibition, showcasing equestrian art and an accepted challenge to paint a few landscapes, needless to say, I fell in love with the outcome and am currently growing my collection of dreamy, pastel-colored abstract landscapes. I am inspired by my surroundings of mountains and vineyards, the feeling of being in nature and connecting with my Creator keeps me going.
