ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I am not sure what inspired this painting for sure. I painted this about 10 years ago. My best guess is that I wanted to practice painting an African American or a Black woman. I obviously decided to paint her playing the piano. I visualized the scene in my head. Then I painted this black woman playing the piano.
