The Light Print

“The Light” is an abstract representation of hope. Primarily in the sense of being a light at the end of the tunnel. It is a reminder to think beyond what is right in front of us, and to consider the long-term gains of our actions instead of the short-term gains. I created this painting at a time in life where I lacked direction and conviction in my artwork. This painting in itself showed me the direction I needed to take and the path I needed to follow as an artist. A direction that aligned with my heart more than my head. This came with the realization that following my thoughts had previously led me astray time and time again. This painting is a constant reminder of hope for what is to come in the future. Not a delusion that everything will change overnight, but rather a knowing that the positive things you do each and every day will prove to have compounding results years down the line.
