ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the second painting from my new project "Object Relation". The goal is to show that even when we know the person well, there are always parts of their mental life that we don't know. These parts can cause us different reactions and different states. In this sense I pointed out that sometimes our experience is very real and perceptible. While at others it can seem abstract, empty, or difficult to understand.

Vera Fonseka
Portugal
Vera Fonseka is an artist based in Portugal whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally. She describes her works as conveying the paradoxical existence between the scrupulous intricacy of the details and the brutality of iconography. Fonseka's artistic process is marked by her use of mixed techniques with adhesives, fabrics, acrylics, and oils on canvas. She was born in 1982 in Tallinn (ex URSS, actually Estonia) in an actors-family. In 2003 Vera moved to Portugal where she's been living since then. Inspired by Kandinsky, Frank Stella, Beatriz Milhazes and Alexandra Mir, Vera Fonseka tries to make conceptual contribution in Contemporary Art.
