"Tuah ayam di kaki, tuah manusia siapa yang tahu." "The luck of a chicken is on its feet, the luck of a person is a mystery." Malay proverb. Rooster has always been a symbol of hard work in the Malay culture. It is a reminder for me that the only way for me to succeed is to keep up my hard work. Coincidentally a rooster came to my house while I was depressed and having breakfast. I own no chicken nor any of my neighbours. So till today, I don't know to whom it belongs too. This painting was done using only my fingers, no brushes or pastel knife, and the colours were taken straight from the tube. It reminded me of the time where we first discover art i.e. during our childhood when art is fun and there is no worry apart from having the joy to discover the world.
