ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Mummy is a painting created from several layers added over time. It is composed of color and acrylic paste, black lava paste and white sand acrylic paste. You can see and feel the texture and the transition of colours. The painting is a simplistic vision of the painter in an attempt to capture the emotion of the viewer. It can be considered raw, brutal as a dream in the night. The mummy's eyes are a light blue that can express various emotions. Material used: sand, acrylic and paste. Acrylic gold paste and acrylic paint. Acrylic and pouring acrylic paint combined with gold, yellow and white. Black royal combined with pouring liquid just to give the right transition over the shapes and forms. Black acrylic lava and white acrylic sand added in different layers. The size of the painting is standard 100cm(H) x 100cm(W) x 2cm(deep). The painting can be placed on a bright wall in an avant-garde room. It is recommended to contact the designer before ordering the painting and reach advice.

I was born in a city smaller than the point of gravity near Bucharest, Romania, without great prospects for progression. The first 7 years of my life were affected by communism. I would meet faces, but I couldn’t see the people behind them. The simplicity and taste for beauty came naturally. Apart from old cars and dust, I had nothing else to choose from. I didn’t attend any art school. I have no art culture/knowledge. I don't consider myself an artist. I think the world has enough of them. Some of them are really good. Others are just mediocre in their attempts to express themselves. But it's good that they exist as they give us the possibility to notice and appreciate the real art.
