About The Artwork
The Raven is a textural, acrylic work. Using a base layer of paper applied to the canvas creates a unique texture to paint on. Followed by layers of acrylic paint that are thinned and allow to flow. Each layer creating more depth. The Raven's black is allowed to bleed and blend out some. Creating an interesting subject, that evokes the mystery and darkness of the raven itself. The texture and color wrap around the sides, allowing the work to be hung without the need for framing. Yet would look great framed as well, at your discretion.

A Florida based contemporary abstract painter. Painting since the 1990s, now fulltime since 2018. Creating bold, colorful pieces using acrylics and texture. Several pieces in Tampa Bay galleries, and sold pieces throughout the US. An alumni of 2022 Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Emerging Artists. Influenced by the pasts abstract expressionism. Yet intrigued by new techniques, I blend them with traditional knowledge to create unique works. Being self-taught, I'm free to experiment and develop art as I see fit. Creating works that are less confined and open to interpretation. Mainly concentrating in abstract art. Mixed media is an oversimplified definition, with the use of different materials and acrylics to create paintings that are textural and inquisitive.
