The Red Marigold Print

My love for flowers, particularly the captivating red marigold, served as the inspiration behind this painting. The intricate beauty of the yellow edging on the petals truly captivated my imagination and set the stage for my artistic endeavor. In my pursuit to bring my vision to life, I deliberately chose a melamine board as the canvas for this artwork. The board's dimensional firmness and smooth surface provided the ideal foundation for my creative process. To achieve a truly mesmerizing effect, I embarked on a series of experiments. My goal was to capture the essence of yellow highlights gracefully dancing amidst a sea of radiant red. For this purpose, I employed a dual pendulum technique, utilizing one pendulum with red paint and the other with yellow. However, relying solely on the dual pendulum technique proved inadequate in achieving the desired pattern. It necessitated a meticulous rotation of the board's surface, allowing the pendulum swings to intertwine and weave a mesmerizing design. Striking the perfect balance became crucial, as excessive rotation risked blending the red and yellow undesirably, while insufficient rotation would result in unadorned spaces on the board. Ultimately, my intention was to achieve a harmonious composition that showcased a few subtly revealed spots at the center, while the rest celebrated the interplay of vibrant red and radiant yellow.
