Despite pursuing an international career in the upstream oil and gas industry ,I'm pasionate about art , visual arts in particular. I've started drawing and painting very early in my life , completing my first "real painting" in 1984 ( The Rehearsal posted on this site..) . Until last year, when I took early retirement, I had very little time to pursue visual arts. Over the last 12 months I managed to complete about 10 paintings and going strong...
I'm influenced by the second half XIX century - early XX century Romanian and Russian painters ; realism, impressionists and moderate surrealists .
I also like photography, preferring analog B&W. Have a collection of old cameras and lenses I'm using.
