Born in Lviv on 27 March 1960. The name of Iryna Fartukh is well know among the Lviv artist community. Iryna sensitively and steadily develops the tradition of figurative painting established in olden times in our city by many outstanding artists in whose constellation shine brightly the names of I. Trush and O. Novakivski, H. Smolsky and O. Shatkivski, and in the post-war era - V. Patyk. Living in one of Ukraine's most beautiful cities, the artist with her talent is part of it, and serves it, glorifying Lviv's street, squares, and avenues in each season of the year, throughout variable weathers and times of the day. Iryna Fartukh is able to interpret almost all genres offered to a contemporary figurative artist through life: landscape, still life, portrait, genre, animalism. Iryna Fartukh, in her own time, but demonstrating a great love, is building her own version of the world, a world pleasant and comfortable in which to live, not only for herself but for all those she invites in to join her.
