Exploring memory, perception, and place, my practice draws on Irish folklore, mythology, and landscape to reveal hidden narratives within the natural world. Rooted in painting, I transform physical canvases into digitally enhanced stills and GIFs, creating generative works that feel both ancient and electric. My original GIFs have received over 130 million views on GIPHY. Inspired by the landscapes of my home in Cornamona, Ireland, I capture the fleeting beauty of light, time, and emotion. Through digital processes, these paintings evolve into glowing, layered compositions that extend beyond the limits of paint. Works such as Rise Up begin with a single painting and unfold into shifting digital forms, reflecting how identity and history fragment and reform. My practice is also a personal ritual - an act of grounding through which I make sense of the world and shape meaning through image, light, and landscape. I’m drawn to the threshold between the organic and the digital, where past and present quietly converge.
