The sun is all the colors mixed together. Our star is a powerful inspiration throughout culture. He is a life-giving giant, but also dangerous. My series of works on the Sun is a meditation on it, multi-threaded inspiration, cavernous expanses of fire and gentle light. "The sun is a god," said William Turner. The work was created on fine cotton paper. Ecoline is a liquid watercolor paint. It has a very intense color that looks even better live and is deeper. It has amazing luminosity.

I move between different styles, combining abstraction with figuration. Concerning themes and my color palette, I have no restrictions, with one exception: I avoid dramatism in depicted situations. Only the scale between extensive backgrounds and minor human figures or vehicles is constant. I am inspired by Dutch painting, especially by Peter Breughel.
