Anglo-Scot artist Heather Catrìona "Ìona" Davidson was raised between both Yorkshire, in northern England, and Aberdeenshire in N.E. Scotland. Currently creating in a small home studio in the Dearne Valley in South Yorkshire, Ìona (pronounced Ee-un-uh) draws inspiration from the rugged beauty of the north east Buchan coast of her beloved Caledonia. Ìona's art education has been a mixture of formal, private, and self taught, graduating in 2012 (at age 50) from Leeds College of Art, and since then adding many short courses and experimenting with various forms of artmaking. Her eclectic collections of work vary in mediums, including printmaking and textile art, as well as collage, painting, and poetry.
