A memory of my way home as a child. Past the old shutters falling off the Milland coffee shop. The overgrown cul-de-sac later to have new houses built on it. Watching Jessica eat the second part of her lunch and her little brother Peter running down the road to greet her. On those hot summer days; d...

I was born and raised in Leeds, United Kingdom. Studies Graphic Design at Leeds Metropolitan University. I mainly work in acrylics and oils. I do sometimes work with other mediums, but paint is my constant. My work comes from fragments of memories. A colour. A smell. Its a landscape of clues. Things that are ocaque but are still visable. If not definatively, then perhaps at its most basic visual level. An interpretation of time ticking by. As colour is a defining characteristic in my work, I also create landscape and cityscape paintings to develop my painting technique. I love working in paint. The smell of it. Its one of my favourite things. Its like a therapy to me. I am inspired by a great many things. Memories from my childhood is an ongoing theme. i take inspiration from places and people I meet. I enjoy long walks and local haunts. I love music and especially when that music can evoke particular feelings; linking it all together is mesmerising. I love listening to Tool and Tangerine Dream. My work is personal to me in may spheres. In its directness but also as an etheral constant. I need the viewer to witness what I see otherwise its just my memory. My audience and fans mean the world to me, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to read my profile and look at my work. I really love to hear from people; their thoughts and feelings on art and advice. On music and films. Please feel free to contact me. Isabella x
