This painting is part of my Synagogue series and it depicts synagogues and Jewish life in Britain. This incredible synagogue is the oldest of its kind in Britain, it seeps history and tradition through its walls. The dark oak Bimah, the pale stone walls with contrasting pews, marvel pillars and the hanging brass candelabras automatically bestow a strong theatrical and dramatic atmosphere within this synagogue creating a truly magical ambience for the wedding unfolding within.
