ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Oil on Canvas 24 x 24 x 1.5 inches inspired by Rainy Day near Bleecker Street New York * this lady is in a hurry to go to the coffee shop nearby in order to have her project keep going, the white clock reads it's already 6 pm, * this paintings is part of Rainy day series study but i focus more on abstract canvas other than moody and romantic village environment, it's interesting to discover that i only paint Rainy day but i feel like this study is only beginning of what i have to discover in the future, just feeling always fresh.

"The Basic philosophy of my art is bringing the huge Power or energy from nature or daily life. My abstract does not come from the direct practice of Abstract on canvas, I explore my own abstract without giving up what I see in front of me." In most recent years, Shin has dedicated his focus to New York City. The expressiveness of New York City -- its brilliant culture, vast history, and even the very streets of the metropolis -- has continued to inform his work as he develops his artistic voice. Shin’s ultimate goal is to transform the scenes of daily life into a kind of visual poetry through his technical mastery of breaking down color and light. That visual poetry is the basis of a new kind of art form that Shin hopes to create and convey, influenced by Korean calligraphy and the bold brushstrokes of Expressionism. Becoming an artist is like an adventurous journey. You will never know where you will end up, but you should try hard to achieve something great.
