Piotr Banaszkiewcz was born in Warsaw in 1981. His childhood and young years were a period of many changes and moves to Sweden and Warsaw. He studied economics in Warsaw for some time, but abandoned his studies in favour of art. He studied architecture and Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the meantime he served in the army. Finally he received a diploma in artistic graphics at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń with outstanding achievements, he received twice the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education and four times the Scholarship of the Rector. For more than ten years he has also been an active musician, playing in many bands and participating in numerous musical projects, playing the hurdy gurdy, inspired by folk and medieval music.
He belongs to the Association of Seekers.
In art he is inspired by old Dutch painting,
He creates interesting and mysterious cycles showing magical landscapes, these cycles are the result of many years of sketching in nature.
The main character of his paintings is usually a man, shown in a characteristic way in profile. He also paints musicians and smoky, semi-dark pubs as well as fantastic animals.
