ABOUT THE ARTWORK
After my art studies in Germany I spent some time living in New York and I was really inspired by the grey of the city with on the one hand side its high , cold concrete buildings and on the other hand side the colorful city life. With the years passing by , the buildings disappeared from my paintings and only the atmosphere stays. That way people have the liberty to feel the painting according to their mood instead of being influenced by details...

After my art studies in Germany I went to New York, a city, which very likely influenced a lot my way of painting. In the beginning the backgrounds were figurative, there were buildings, taxis, harbors , markets... With the years passing by, I got rid of all the surroundings, the concrete , the flowers, the harbors disappeared to leave place for imagination and atmosphere. I want the spectator to feel, to identify, to live my painting without being influenced by details. People seeing my art are actor and spectator at the same time. Colors are the most important ingredients of my art. Colors allow and influence feelings, and my aim is to make you feel good!
