"The heart of a rose" Print

I am an artist from Ukraine who explores themes of cultural heritage, the connection of generations, the intersection of the past and the present. I am fascinated by metaphorical reproduction of reality, symbols and metasenses. Texture plays a central role in my works - I devote as much time to it as to the painting itself. It serves as a subtext, a "red thread" woven into the history of the work of art. In my paintings, I explore themes of loneliness, feminine nature, our roots and connection to the land. I often include elements of Ukrainian folk motifs as a visual language of memory and belonging. That is why many of my works have a distinct Ukrainian touch. I work in a stylized, personal way - combining acrylic, textured paste, oil, graphic elements or collage. Mixed media is close to me - it allows you to achieve emotional complexity and freedom beyond traditional forms. Each painting is a pre-thought-out sketch, but when I start working on the canvas, at some point I allow improvisation to take over. This way you never know what will come out in the end. And this is probably the most interesting moment in creating a painting.
