ABOUT THE ARTWORK
High in the Karkonosze Mountains grew an enormous golden tree, revered by the local people for centuries. Adventurers often sought it to live lavishly. However, human greed led to God's intervention, destroying the tree and leaving only its stump. The gold from the tree flowed into the local streams, causing people to abandon the search for the Golden Tree and start panning for gold in the streams. This painting depicts this legendary tale with the tree, golden leaves, and a waterfall. 11 x 13 with the frame.
