Canvas on carton The romance of the quiet little streets of the old city attracts many tourists to Riga. 800 years of the history of the city brought many architectural riches to the city. And this corner is one of the iconic highlights. The name of the square in honor of one of the peoples who inhabited Latvia for many centuries. Just recently, a woman who was the last native speaker of the language and culture of this people died. At this artwork, we see only a small street leaving the square. The kakba square itself is weaving behind the back of the viewer. But on this street there is one wonderful cafe with delicious buns! Was created in 2019.

Searching for my own path in painting took me a certain time. It has passed nine years since my first attempts to paint. However, during last several years I have started feeling self-assured, as my works reached desired level of skilfulness and artistic approach, and I really started liking them. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists’ ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke. Now I look into the future with greater confidence, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!
