My life started in 1981 in Middenmeer. My life as an artist from Schagen (Netherlands) is always full of challenges. I challenge myself every time by using new techniques, freedom to express myself. I use Lascaux acrylic paint because it dries quickly and you can paint it in layers with bright colors. I create abstract landscapes with lots of sunlight, energy and joy. Working with colors in abstract expressionism gives me a good feeling, it gives me a lot of energy when I look at my works and I would like to pass this feeling on to my clients. A good painting, like a piece of music, is a symphony of colors and emotion. I make work in which I put my feelings and emotions from nature, just like when I was a child in Middenmeer; walking, kayaking or sailing by boat. I take photos for inspiration. The small details of nature inspire me and also the beautiful colors and sunlight. Nature gives me a lot of energy and peace as a continuous poetic factor in my life. I incorporate bits of my life into my work as a storyteller. My life as an artist and mother of my 2 children, as a woman, my love for nature, people and animals. My good habit to live healthy, eat well and be positive. I also do yoga, read books, I play some music to relax, but most of all I prefer to make art because it is where I can express myself best, as I have done all my life. Art sits in my system a non-stop factor and I will continue to do this all my life. I make work in the style; Color field painting, abstract expressionism just like the famous Helen Frankenthaler. With her famous statement: “There are no rules. That is how art is born, how breakthroughs happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules. That's what invention is about. »Helen Frankenthaler. I have a need to make everything happier in life, more fun. I use the spring and summer season as a source of inspiration with its warm and vibrant colors, which provide joy and energy. A work must be strong, expressive and dynamic, but also radiate tranquility and be mysterious. That is why I work directly on canvas or paper firmly and directly, with a lot of power! A painting is good if I put my feelings into it and it gives me joy and energy! Then I frame it and offer it to you.
