"The rise of stupidity" Fine Art Print

Completely self taught, I’ve been immersed in art practically all my life. I graduated with a BA in economics + complementary studies in history of art. I participated in several group shows and sold my works. Although the phrase “I create for myself” is valid in my case, there’s no doubt that exposing my art is a necessity. I try hard not to be “wishy washy” in my work. I want the brush marks, gestures, contrasts and the expressions of the characters in my figurative pieces to have an emotional impact. I spend quite a lot of time in museums and galleries and am happy to help my friends enhance their knowledge and appreciation if and when they ask for it……. As for selling art on this site, one can not help but feel that “recognition” and other promotional aspects are more important to many potential buyers than the quality of works displayed. Unfortunate but not surprising at all……
