ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The painting "Shadows are getting longer" was painted in the technique of oil painting in 2018 as a continuation of a series of small-format urban landscapes. This series is characterized by chamber plots, focusing on details, studying the nature of objects, and emotional state. In this story, I was attracted by an old drainpipe and the shadows it cast on a gleaming sunlit wall. Afternoon, the sun is still high, but is already slowly starting to decline, pasty sharp strokes emphasize the textured surface of the wall of the old building and the old painted drainpipe .
