About The Artwork

This artwork aims to convey a sense of joy, radiance and peace and to render a relaxing feeling of calm and hope. It a study of sunshine and ripples the artist made during a special workshop guided by the recognized seascape artist Irina Cumberland. It is also a memory of South of France where the artist grew up. The artist built the artwork in several layers, using brushes and palette knife to bring depth and textures to the work, as well as glazing and sfumato techniques to bring transparency and opacity to the painting.

"I believe in the healing beauty of Nature and Arts. » Cæsiliæ's oneiric paintings open a window to radiant realms. They depict luminous reflections, women and floating flowers on water displaying a visual dance of light and feelings… Her work appears in several private and public collections around the world and it has been featured several times in curated selections by international galleries and charity organizations dedicated to Women and the Environment. Cæsiliæ comes from her second name, Cecilia, which means blind, fortunate or secret in Latin. In addition, Saint Cecilia (230 AD) was the saint for poets and musicians. She is a French painter currently based in Berlin, Germany and specialized in painting with natural linseed oil. Each artwork is unique and signed at the front or at the back by the artist.
